Ilmoittautuminen alkaa ti 18.10. klo 16:00. Ilmoittaudu tämän kalenteritapahtuman kautta jos olet fuksi.

Sitsit, eli akateemiset pöytäjuhlat, ovat tärkeä osa pohjoismaista yliopistokulttuuria. Lyhyesti sanottuna syödään, juodaan, ja viimeisimpänä, muttei vähäisimpänä, lauletaan.

Pukukoodista: Tumma puku tai jonkinlainen hame, mekko tai siisti housuasu on varma valinta.

Jos nyt mietit “miksi”, kysyn “miksi ei”, ja kumoan samalla huonoimmat vastauksesi:

En osaa laulaa!
-En minäkään.

En osaa sitsata.
-No tässäpä hyvä tapa opetella.

En halua humaltua.
-Ilmottaudu alkoholittomana.

En tunne sieltä ketään.
-Sitseillä tutustut.

Tapahtuma alkaa 18:00 ja pöytiin siirrytään n. 18:20.

Registration starts on Tue 18th October at 4:00 pm. Register to this calendar event only if you're a fresher, otherwise register through the other event.

Sitsit (academic table parties) have an important role in Finnish university culture. In short: we eat and drink, and last but not the least, we sing.

Dress code: A suit or some sort of equivalent. Something fancier than jeans, but white tie is overdoing it.

Now if your wondering “why, I’ll ask “why not” and refute your worst arguments:

I can’t sing!
-Me neither.

I don't know what sitsit is.
-Well here's a good way to learn.

I don’t want to get drunk.
-You can pick the non-alcoholic option.

I don’t know anyone there.
-You will.
