Tampereen teatterin esitys Taru sormusten herrasta saapuu Tampere-talolle syksyllä 2024. TKO-äly ry järjestää ekskursion katsomaan esitystä keskiviikkona 18.9. Näytös alkaa klo 18:00, ja junamme Tampereelle lähtee Helsingin päärautatieasemalta klo 15:00. Saavuthan ajoissa paikalle! Tarkemmat tiedot tapaamisajasta ja -paikasta lähempänä tapahtumaa.

Esitys on noin neljä tuntia pitkä ja sisältää myös esitystä varten sävellettyä livemusiikkia ja sirkustaidetta. Osallistumishinta sisältää teatterilipun sekä junalipun Helsingistä Tampereelle. TÄRKEÄÄ: Huomaathan, että alustavasta tiedosta poiketen tämä ilmoittautuminen ei sisällä paluulippuja takaisin Helsinkiin. Esityksen pituus saattaa vaihdella hieman, mutta Tampereen teatteri pyrkii mahdollistamaan kävojöiden ehtimisen junaan. Lisäksi käyttämämme liput ovat opiskeljalippuja, ja opiskelijakorttia saattaa joutua näyttämään.

Tampere-talo on esteetön, ja esitykseen on saatavilla tekstitys ja kuvailutulkkaus suomeksi. Paikkamme junassa tai teatterissa eivät ole pyörätuolipaikkoja.

Tampere Theatre is performing their version of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings in fall 2024. TKO-äly ry is organizing an excursion to one of the performances on Wednesday September 18. The performance starts at 18:00 and our train to Tampere leaves from Helsinki Central railway station at 15:00. Be sure to arrive early! More information on our meeting time and place will be announced later.

The performance is about four hours long and contains live music and circus. The performance is in Finnish, but English subtitles are available through the app Subtitle Mobile that you can download on your phone. IMPORTANT: Please notice, that this registration doesn't include return tickets from Tampere to Helsinki. The duration of the performance may vary, but Tampere Theatre is trying to give visitors enough time to make it to the train. In addition, our tickets are student tickets and may require showing a finnish student card such as the Frank app.

Tampere hall itself is accessible. However, our seats for the train or the theatre are not wheelchair seats.

The Inter-Kumpulary sports reservation combines the forces of Resonanssi and TKO-äly to really beat the air out of some sports balls.

This week it's time for badminton!

The reservation lasts from 5pm to 6pm.

Bring water, indoor shoes and a lock for the locker door. If necessary, you can rent indoor shoes and rent or buy a lock from Unisport. If we're playing floorball or badminton and you don't have a stick/racket, you can rent one for a fee of 2e.

After the shift, there is opportunity to go to the sauna at Unisport.

Casual Night -tapahtumat ovat TKO-älyn alkoholitonta kivaa, yleensä lautapelien, roolipelien, kortti-/party-/ym. pelien ja hyvän seuran parissa. Kasuaaleista löytyy tarjoiluja suolaisesta makeaan ja sen lisäksi janon karkottavia sokeri- sekä makeutusainepohjaisia virvoikejuomia.

Pelien tuomisesta ei tarvitse murehtia, sillä Gurulan valikoimasta roudataan ne parhaat pelit iloksesi paikan päälle. Jos kuitenkin omasta valikoimasta löytyy joku eksoottinen peli johon haluat kanssafuksisi tutustuttaa, voit ehdottomasti napata sen mukaan!

The new freshers are slowly starting to learn the University life, so it's time to introduce the Casual Night -events!

Casual Night events are TKO-äly's non-alcohol fun. They usually feature board games and roleplaying games as well as card, party etc. games with great company. In addition, you can find a variety of snacks from salty to sweet, including some thirst-quenching soft drinks.

Don't worry about bringing your own games, as the best of Gurula's game collections have been back-breakingly carried to Klusteri just for your enjoyment. However, if you have an exotic game that you want to show off to your fellow freshers, feel free to bring it with you!

Come spend a casual autumn evening with an amazing gang at Klusteri. I suggest you to check it out even if games aren't close to your heart. Who knows, maybe you'll get hooked?

- The number of months of student aid is restored to 64 months.
- Students receive the housing supplement during summer months too.
- Regional differences in living costs are taken into account in the housing supplement of student aid.
- The terms of interest assistance are relaxed.
- An interest rate cap is set on student loans.​
- The maximum amount of student loan compensation is raised.
- An annual student loan compensation is introduced.

Olisiko hauska tulla yökylähenkiseen hengailuun mukavaan seuraan päästen nukkumaan kuitenkin omassa sängyssä? Tervetuloa Gurulan pyjamabileisiin maanantaina 30.9. klo 18 alkaen!

Nimen mukaisesti voit saapua paikalle pyjamassa, mutta myös muut mukavat vaatteet sopivat hyvin. Voit halutessasi tuoda mukaasi myös pehmolelun tai parikin. Kokoonnumme Gurulan punaisille sohville viettämään rennosti aikaa perinteisillä yökyläaktiviteeteilla höystettynä: luvassa siis esimerkiksi pehmolelujen tutustumisrinki, leikkimielisiä ja kevyitä pelejä ja leikkejä kuten totuutta ja tehtävää, adjektiivitarinoita, siirtotatuointeja, suklaafondueta sekä muuta pientä naposteltavaa. Bileet loppuvat klo 22 aikoihin, jonka jälkeen voi siirtyä kotiin nukkumaan. Gurulassa yöpyminen ei ole mahdollista.

Wouldn't it be fun to have a pajama party themed hangout but getting to sleep comfortably in your own bed? Welcome to Gurula's pajama party on Monday 30.9. starting at 6 pm!

As the name suggests, you may arrive in a pajama but other comfy clothes are okay as well. If you'd like, you can bring a plushie or two with you. We'll gather at the red couches of Gurula for a casual hangout with optional pajama party themed activities such as getting to know each other -games for our plushies, very low pressure versions of games such as truth or dare, mad libs, temporary tattoos, chocolate fondue and other snacks. The party will end around 10 pm after which you can go home to sleep. Sleeping in Gurula is not allowed.

Lokakuussa opiskelijat kerääntyvät jälleen Helsingin keskustaan legendaariseen Limeksen approon! Approa vietetään tuttuun tapaan lokakuun ensimmäisenä keskiviikkona 2.10.2024.

Approssa pääset kiertämään keskustan baareja keräten ostoksistasi leimoja appropassiin. Ohjeiden mukainen suoritus palkitaan haalarimerkillä. Tapahtuma huipentuu Apollossa tapahtuviin jatkoihin. Tämän vuoden jatkoesiintyjänä on Bee!

In October, students will gather in the city center for the legendary Limeksen appro. Like usual, the appro is held on the first Wednesday of October. This year the Appro is held on the 2nd of October.

Limeksen appro is a traditional pub crawl at the city center in Helsinki. Students will collect stamps by buying drinks at participating bars. At the end of the night, a certain amount of stamps will be rewarded with an overall patch. The afterparty is at the Apollo nightclub. This year's performer is Bee.

The tickets cost 18 euros. A ticket includes an overall patch, a card to collect stamps, a ticket to the afterparty and the cloakroom fee.

Tickets can be collected from Gurula (Exactum DK115) on the following days:

Tuesday 17.09.2024 12:00 - 15:00
Wednesday 25.09.2024 14:00 - 17:00

If you cannot collect your ticket on these days, you can get them from Gurula between 15.9 - 1.10, whenever a board member is present. The ticket is paid upon retrieval.

The registration is binding. If you don't retrieve your ticket before the deadline, you will be billed by email.

This week it's time for futsal!

The reservation lasts from 5pm to 6pm.

Bring water, indoor shoes and a lock for the locker door. If necessary, you can rent indoor shoes and rent or buy a lock from Unisport. If we're playing floorball or badminton and you don't have a stick/racket, you can rent one for a fee of 2e.

After the shift, there is opportunity to go to the sauna at Unisport.

Tekisikö mieli luovuttaa?... Nimittäin siis verta! Tule mukaan kun lähdemme ainejärjestön voimin tekemään hyvää. Olit sitten ensikertalainen tai kokeneempi luovuttaja, kaikki ovat tervetulleita. Jos et ole varma sovitko luovuttajaksi, se selviää tekemällä Sovinko Luovuttajaksi -testi täältä.

Itse verenluovutus vie vain noin kymmenen minuuttia ja voit tällä ajalla auttaa jopa kolmea ihmistä. Voit myös pelastaa henkiä! Verenluovutuksesta on tyypillisesti saanut myös haalarimerkin.

Lähdemme Gurulasta kohti Sanomataloa 16:00. Veripalvelu tarjoaa taksikyydin jos saamme kasaan vähintään 4 luovuttajaa. Itselle kannattaa varata verenluovutusaika täältä 17:00 eteenpäin jolloin olemme viimeistään luovutus paikalla. Sanomatalolle voi myös saapua omatoimisesti. Veripalvelun toimipiste on auki 19:00 asti. Otathan kuvallisten henkilöllisyystodistuksen mukaan, myös ajokortti käy.

Jos olet tulossa luovuttamaan, muista myös täyttää terveyskysely aikaisintaan päivää ennen luovuttamista. Hyvä muistaa myös runsas nesteytys ennen verenluovutusta (huomioithan, ettei verenluovutukseen voi tulla humalassa tai krapulaisena). Veripalvelun toimipisteellä on luovuttajille tarjolla pientä purtavaa, sekä juotavaa.

Feel like giving up? … Your blood that is! Join us as we go to do good with the student organization. Whether you are a first timer or a seasoned donator, everyone is welcome. If you are not sure if you are fit to donate blood, you can do the Can I donate test here.

By donating blood, you may help up to three people and even save lives! The donation itself only takes about 10 minutes of your time. Overall patches have typically been given to donors as well.

We leave from Gurula to Sanomatalo at 16:00. Veripalvelu will pay for taxi ride if we get at least 4 donators. You should reserve a donation time here from 17:00 onwards, when we will be at the donation place. You can also arrive at Sanomatalo on your own. Donation place is open till 19:00. Be sure to bring an official photo ID with you. A driver's license is also fine.

If you are donating you must fill the health questionnaire the day before the event at earliest. It is good to drink a lot of liquids before donating (please note you cannot donate blood while drunk or hungover). There are also some snacks and drinks on offer for donors.

International mushroom day

The already second-time occurring traditional masters/internationals mushroom trip is back! Our target mushroom will be the good old suppilovahvero (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craterellus_tubaeformis), simple to identify, easy to store and italian-approved pasta ingredient.

Practicalities: a joit departure to the mushroom spot will leave from front of gurula at 12:10 and we will take the bus 731 at 12:19. If you want to find your own way there, come to cafe Kuusijärvi at 13:00. After that, we will hunt for mushrooms for as long as you feel like, the bus connections back run until midnight so there is no need to worry about a last bus leaving. Smoke sauna, lake swims and burgers afterparty will start at the cafe at about 5pm, or whenever the mushroomers feel like it.

Jo toista kertaa järjestettävä perinteinen mestareiden/kansainvälisten sieniretki on täällä taas! Kohdesienemme on vanha tuttu suppilovahvero (https://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suppilovahvero), joka on helppo tunnistaa, säilöä ja on italialaisen hyväksymä pastan ainesosa.

Aikataulu: tapahtumaan on yheislähtö gurulan edestä klo 12:10. Lähdöstä ei kannata myöhästyä, bussi 731 lähtee kampuksen pysäkiltä klo 12:19. Voit myös tulla suoraan Kuusijärvelle, tapaamme siellä 13:00. Bussit takaisin kulkevat aina puoleenyöhön asti, eli sienestää voi vapaasti halutessaan vaikka pimeän tuloon asti. Sienestysjatkot tapahtuvat savusaunan, järvipulahdusten ja burgereiden merkeissä Kuusijärvellä n klo 17 alkaen.

The reservation lasts from 5pm to 6pm.

Opiskelijat ympäri Kumpulaa kokoontuvat Silja Symphonylle 16.-18.11. nauttimaan akateemisesta juhlimisen vapaudesta: ohjattua ohjelmaa ei liiemmin ole, vaan kjyrät saavat löytää omat nautinnon muotonsa, oli kyse sitten hyttipasianssista tai tanssilattian seismologisesta tutkimuksesta. Täysin yksin ei kuitenkaan tarvitse jäädä, koska illat alkuun nostattaa korkialaatuinen nauru pommi pläjäys. Löydettävänä on myös lukuisia suunnistusrasteja ja voittavia arpoja sekä Matrixin pukukilpailu. Tämän vuoden asuteema on lisko vs. disko.

Ilmoittautuminen megarientoihin alkaa järjestöittäin porrastettuna 9.9. ja hyttejä löytyy järjestöille yhteensä 175.

Would you like to have a cabin picnic? A ship buffet? Or perhaps a Swedish burger? Whether your answer is affirmative or whether you simply want to get your boat on, we cordially welcome you to KJYR, the Common Orienteering Cruise for Kumpula Students!

Students from all around Kumpula embark on M/S Silja Symphony on November 16th through 18th to enjoy the freedoms of academic gallantry: instead of a rigid party structure you are most welcome to figure out your own way of having fun, be it solitaire on the cabin table or seismological experimentation on the dance floor. If organized fun is what you wish, then fear not: the cruise will begin with a high quality laugh-inducing show and during our maritime travels you can complete orienteering tasks, find winning raffle tickets and participate in Matrix's costume contest. This year's theme is lizard vs. disco.

Registration for this boatin' event opens on September 9th, staggered by student organization and we have 175 cabins available distributed to Kumpula's organizations.

Please note that the last day to cancel your registration without cost is September 28th, that the registration closes on October 3rd at 23:59.

Yhteiskumpulalainen liikuntavuoro yhdistää Resonanssin, Integraliksen ja TKO-älyn liikkujat Kumpulan UniSportin liikuntahalliin... liikkumaan!

Tällä viikolla vuorossa on futsalia.

Vuoro kestää 17.00 - 18.00.

Ota mukaan vettä, sisäpelikengät ja lukko pukukaapin oveen. Unisportilta voit tarvittaessa vuokrata sisäpelikengät, mailan ja vuokrata tai ostaa lukon.

Vuoron jälkeen on mahdollisuus käydä Unisportilla saunassa.

The Inter-Kumpulary sports reservation combines the forces of Resonanssi, Integralis and TKO-äly to really beat the air out of some sports balls.

This week it's time for futsal!

The reservation lasts from 5pm to 6pm.

Bring water, indoor shoes and a lock for the locker door. If necessary, you can rent indoor shoes and rent or buy a lock from Unisport. If we're playing floorball or badminton and you don't have a stick/racket, you can rent one for a fee of 2e.

After the shift, there is opportunity to go to the sauna at Unisport.

Onko sinulla ollut akuuttia lautapelipuutetta? Entä kaipaatko elämääsi tekosyytä valvoa myöhään torstaisin? No nyt on aika Board Game Weeklyn! Meillä on lautapelejä JA nörttejä keiden kanssa niitä pelata! Mikä voisikaan olla parempaa?!?
